No. 880321594 (Late) ASI(GD) Madan Singh of 80 Bn BSF, a corona warrior, was deployed on operational duty along Indo-Bangladesh International Border at BOP Simna, Tripura as a Nursing Assistant as part of Medical set up. He complained of uneasiness on 07.08.2020 and sent to PHC Katlamara from where he was further evacuated to GB Pant Hospital as a suspected Covid positive case. On 08.08.2020 he was further referred to ILS Hospital Agartala, where he was tested and found COVID-19 Positive and shifted back to GB Pant Hospital Agartala. He succumbed to the infection on 08.08.2020 at about 1230 hrs inspite of best efforts. ASI(GD) Madan Singh laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in Covid-19 environment
